Solving Your Tech Troubles Remotely
We were so glad to be able to offer some remote IT support to a loyal Croydon Vision member recently.
Jim Smith, who also volunteers here, got in touch about a problem he was having with his printer. Like a tech-savvy Wonder Woman, Katherine jumped to his aid, despite the fact Jim was at home and she was at Bedford Hall.
“I knew that it could print copies, but only offline.” Jim explained “Katherine was able to help by taking over my computer from a distance. Then, since we knew the printer model, I was able enter my Wi-Fi router code and its passport number into the printer thus connecting it to my computer. I was able to print immediately. I felt great relief and was most thankful for the IT service”.
Lending a hand to members in this way puts a real spring in the step of Katherine and Ola, who have a wealth of IT experience and know-how between them. Please do feel free to get in touch if you think they could help improve your tech set-up!
