“I appreciate Croydon Vision very much, it is a community that develops my skills, especially on tech”- RA.

Welcome to our vibrant community.

We’re here to encourage independence, confidence and personal development among the blind and the partially sighted community of Croydon.

It’s free to become a Croydon Vision member, and our members and their families / carers can take advantage of a range of free and low-cost services and activities such as:

– Advice & Advocacy

– Low Vision Clinic

– Sight Loss Workshops

– Tech Training

– Outreach Service (includes home visits)

– Young People

– Route to Employment

– Transport & Lunch

– Various Social Groups

We’re passionate about empowering blind people through a range of initiatives; but it all starts with being open. So by working with the community at large we’re determined to smash taboos, break down walls and encourage people to re-evaluate what’s possible when you’re blind or partially sighted.

We’ve been intentional, to invest in diversity and inclusion…
Many of our team (staff members and volunteers) speak different languages, of diverse age and background. Please ask at reception if you require language assistance from us.

Our Strategy 2023-26
Whilst celebrating our 100 years, we created space to think and ask, what’s next? We’ve done much reflection and exploration (digging for gold). We are now laser focused to leave a legacy for the next 100 years, centred on the model; heart of a Charity, mindset of a business with three key objectives: expanding reach and impact, deliver practical support and drive a culture of giving back to the community.
