Summer 2026

Celebrating our community

Croydon Vision Summer BBQ 2026

A joyful afternoon of food, friendship, music and dancing.

Croydon Vision members, staff, volunteers and guests gathered outdoors for a large group photograph at the 2026 Summer BBQ.

Thank you

What a wonderful afternoon

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our Summer BBQ and helped make it such an enjoyable afternoon. We had a fantastic time celebrating together!

We would also like to thank all the staff and volunteers who worked so hard behind the scenes and throughout the day to ensure everything ran smoothly. Your time, effort and support made the event possible.

A special thank you to our fantastic performers: Nisha, who treated us to a wonderful Mauritian Sega dance performance, and the Wednesday Warblers, who entertained us with their music. We think many of us left feeling inspired to learn the ukulele ourselves!

The heart of the BBQ

Our staff and volunteers worked throughout the day to prepare and serve food and make sure everyone felt welcome.

Thank you to every member of staff and every volunteer whose preparation, care and hard work made the day possible.

Music and movement

Mauritian Sega Dance with Nisha

Nisha brought colour, movement and Mauritian culture to the celebration—and soon had guests joining in.

Live performance

The Wednesday Warblers

The Wednesday Warblers filled the hall with music, singing and ukuleles—and may have inspired a few future musicians.

Welcome and thanks

Celebrating together

The afternoon was also an opportunity to welcome our guests and recognise the people who make the Croydon Vision community so special.

There is life after sight loss

Thank you for being part of our community
