Hello Everyone,

We have some exciting opportunities coming up for children and young people at Croydon Vision. Whether you’re looking to have fun with friends, build confidence, learn new skills, or try something different, we have something for you!

🎳 Bowling Night at Valley Park

🥋 Martial Attitude Summer Kung Fu Confidence Programme (12+)

  • Build Confidence
  • Learn New Skills
  • Have Fun

This summer, Martial Attitude is offering a unique 4-week Kung Fu Confidence Programme designed specifically for young people aged 12+ who are visually impaired, blind or deafblind.

What will you gain?

  • ✅ Confidence in movement and mobility
  • ✅ Improved balance and body awareness
  • ✅ Spatial navigation skills for busy environments
  • ✅ Safe interaction through structured partner work
  • ✅ Increased confidence and independence

Training is based on Wing Chun Kung Fu, adapted specifically for visually impaired participants.

How does it work?

Each participant attends with a sighted partner (friend, sibling, parent or carer), helping to create a safe, supportive and enjoyable learning environment.

Croydon Vision is delighted to host Vision Zone 2026, a free information and exhibition event bringing together leading organisations, charities, technology providers and support services for people living with sight loss.

Whether you are looking for practical advice, assistive technology, local support groups, health information, or simply want to find out what services are available, this event is for you.

💇‍♀️ Hair & Care Workshops for Blind and Low Vision Women & Girls

Hair & Care delivers specialist workshops designed to help blind and low vision women and girls develop practical hair care skills, boost confidence and increase independence.

The programme has already supported over 500 women and girls and continues to grow its supportive community.

🎾 Acez Inclusive Tennis Festival

  • Free Tennis Event for Disabled, d/Deaf and Neurodivergent Young People

The Acez Inclusive Tennis Festival is a fantastic opportunity for disabled, d/Deaf and neurodivergent children and young people aged 5–25 years to enjoy an afternoon of tennis with experienced coaches in a welcoming and inclusive environment.

Friends, siblings and family members are welcome to come along and join the fun!

  • 📍 National Tennis Centre (100 Priory Lane, Roehampton, London, SW15 5JQ)
