Our Story

Croydon Vision Is On A Mission!

Croydon Vision believes that those living with sight loss in the local community should be able to do so with independence and confidence. It is a haven for many people, rebuilding lives for the future.

This inspiring and forward-thinking organisation help their members, young and old, to live rich and fulfilled lives.

We are fundraising for..

£7 is a hot, healthy meal in the company of others.

£8 is a safe minibus trip to and from the Croydon Vision Hub at Bedford Hall.

£15 is life-changing training on the latest assisted technology for a visually impaired person

£25 is a confidence building excursion, such as the science museum, for two children.

£35 is a transformational workshops to help people adjust to living with a visual impairment.

£120 is an audio described theatre trip for a group of 10 people.

Thank you for taking the time to visit Croydon Vision’s Donation page. Please know that any donation you can afford to give (even if it is just a minibus trip) will make a real difference.

What we’ve done so far..

With your help we have raised an additional amount towards our target to invest in audible disabled bathroom functions. These bathroom improvements will be fitted in the New Year.

Our previous fundraising events:

Christmas 2020

We adapted in 2020; instead of a Christmas meal at Croydon Vision’s centre, we organised a community reach, making sure ‘No one [was] left behind at Christmas’ and successfully received part funding; £1,500 from Ross Harding Trust and raised our target balance of £3,000, which ensured that Christmas was a special time for people with sight loss – together we can!

Mt Kilimanjaro

We traversed through five different ecosystems in just as many days (rainforest, alpine desert to artic snow-cap). The ground organiser; Tanzania Travel Company, their guides, porters and chefs; simply amazing.
