Volunteering at Croydon Vision has been such an eye-opening experience for me! Being new to the UK, I’ve learned loads about English society just by being part of this amazing community. What is even better is that I get to hang out with Croydon Vision members and other volunteers , hearing all about their different cultures. It’s like traveling the world whilst being at Croydon Vision.
I’ve had some really good chats with members, and they’ve taught me so much about their traditions and ways of life. It’s so fascinating to see how diverse our world is, even in just one little corner of Croydon . Plus, I’ve made some good friends along the way!
Being a volunteer here is not just about lending a hand; it’s about being part of something bigger than myself. It feels special to know that I’m helping out and making a difference, even if it’s just in a small way. I am also learning and growing every day.
