“I came to CV to take a look at the resource centre and I was surprised by the amount of gadgets that I did not know existed”.

Tenpin bowling is a sport played by visually impaired people of all ages and abilities. Whether playing competitively or recreationally, it is a great way to stay social and keep active.

Now that our members have created a weekly bowling team, one of our volunteers – Coral – has had trophies made to compliment the friendly competition! We think this act of service was a wonderful idea and has kept the team spirit growing!

Did you know?
Blind and visually impaired athletes can compete in bowling through one of two adaptive methods: sighted guidance or a guide rail.

There are a number of visually impaired tenpin teams around the country, competing in leagues and tournaments or playing it as a hobby. To find your nearest club or if you want more information about tenpin, email info@britishblindsport.org.uk
